Game Day Recap: Friday, January 16th



                                                          Windsor Express vs. Island Storm





The Island Storm ran the Windsor Express right off the tracks in a thrilling over-time win at the Eastlink Centre, 111-108. The Island Storm remain at the top of the league with a 15-6 record, while the Express slide to 13-6.

Brandon Robinson went 17-20, shooting 85 % at the free throw line and had a whopper of a night with 34 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists. Mike Martin chipped in 20 points, Nick Evans added 17 and pulled down 12 rebounds, and Rashad Whack rounded out the night with 14 points.

The Island Storm will look to defend their 8-0 streak this Sunday, January 18th at the Scotiabank Centre when they travel to take on the Halifax Rainmen. Tip-off time is 2 p.m.

Tony Bennett led the way with 30 points for the Express, Quinnell Brown came in with 26 points and an impressive 12 rebounds, DeAndre Thomas added his 18 points on the night, while Chris Commons pitched in 12 points and 10 rebounds.

The Windsor Express continue their trip of the Atlantic Division as they head to Harbour Station tomorrow night to take on the Saint John Mill Rats. Tip-off time is 7 p.m.



Moncton Miracles vs. Halifax Rainmen


The Miracles got washed away Saturday night in front of a home town crowd, 93-100 by the Halifax Rainmen, the Miracles record slides to 6-13 on the season, while the Rainmen improve to 9-10.

Stanley Robinson led the way for the Miracles with 16 points and 8 rebounds. Shawn Vanzant, DaQuan Brooks, Zach Atkinson, and Tyler Murray all added 12 points to the Miracles effort.

The Miracles will need to recharge to derail the Windsor Express on Sunday, January 18th at the Moncton Coliseum. Tip-off time is 2 p.m.

Chris Cayole was the leading scorer for the Rainmen, racking up 31 points on the night. Tim Parham had a stellar night with 17 rebounds, while Emmanuel Jones notched 17 to go along with 6 rebounds and 6 assists.

The Rainmen's next game is at home, Sunday, January 18th, against the Island Storm. Tip-off time is 7 p.m.
