Moncton 101-98 Saint John
A buzzer-beating halfcourt shot from Moncton's Trydan Beaty gave the Miracles a massive 101-98 win over Saint John on on Thursday, ending the Mill Rats' four-game win streak.
Beaty's three-pointer came moments after Rickey Volcy tied the game with a clutch shot in the paint to tie the game 98-98. Moncton went only 7-22 from beyond the arc all game.
Both teams shared leads throughout the game, with the Miracles taking the third (35-31) and fourth (28-24) quarters thanks to a decent night from the field (43%).
Saint John's Gabe Freeman led the game with 30 points and 12 rebounds.
The 4-6 Miracles will take on the Island Storm on Sunday. Saint John, who are now 7-5, will have a week off before taking on Halifax at the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday.
