Island 99-87 Moncton
The Island Storm snuck out of Moncton with a massive away win on Wednesday, taking down their Atlantic Division rivals 99-97 in a quest to leapfrog the Miracles for the third seed in next month's playoffs.The Storm thoroughly outplayed the Miracles throughout the game, despite a 39-14 third quarter surge by Moncton after going into halftime down by 17 points.
Joe Salerno's men managed a 25-point fourth quarter to close out the scrappy affair at Moncton Coliseum.
Morgan Lewis led the Storm and the game with 22 points on 7-14 shooting.
The Storm were able to shut down James Justice in impressive fashion, limiting the guard to 10 points on 3-12 shooting.
Moncton (14-22) will host the Atlantic-leading Halifax Hurricanes on Thursday. The Storm (13-23) will host Halifax on Sunday.
