2016 NBLC Playoffs -- Divisional Semi-Finals -- May 6, 2016

Halifax 104-76 Island
(Halifax Leads 2-0)

The Halifax Hurricanes cruised their way to a 104-76 Game 2 win against the Storm on Friday, taking a big 2-0 lead in their series.

The Hurricanes kept a big lead throughout the game, taking a tidy 51-37 lead into halftime.

Shane Gibson led the Hurricanes with 24 points. Joel Friesen scored 14 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Terry Thomas led the Storm with 16 points.

The two teams will meet again on Sunday in Charlottetown.

London 132-125 Orangeville
(London Wins 3-0)

The London Lightning came back to sweep the A's and book their ticket to the Central Division Final on Friday, winning 132-125 in Orangeville.

Despite holding a lead through almost all of the first three-quarters, the A's fell apart in the final frame, getting outscored 43-30.

Akeem Scot followed up his 30-point Game 1 performance with 39 points and eight assists. Justin Moss led the A's with 27 points and 13 rebounds

London will take a home-court advantage to play Windsor in the next round.

Windsor 95-83 Niagara
(Windsor Wins 3-0)


The Windsor Express completed the sweep on Friday, taking down the River Lions 95-83 to advance to the Central Divison Finals.

The Express outplayed Niagara in the series-clinching game, out-shooting (43% to 38%) and out-rebounding (51 to 48) the River Lions throughout.

In a last-ditch effort, Grace Lokole's men pulled to a 68-59 deficit heading into the fourth, but it was not enough.

Brandon Robinson led the game with 24 points. Chris Commons put up 19 points and 14 rebounds. Tony Bennett had 10 assists for the second-straight game.

Windsor will take on London in the next round.
