Lightning & Storm Exchange Okorie And Jennings

While the National Basketball League of Canada is wrapping up their final combines and most if not all teams are preparing for the draft, the London Lightning and the Island Storm have completed the first major trade of the 2015-16 NBL Canada season.

The London Lightning have traded Canadian power forward Renaldo Dixon and the rights to Brent Jennings to the Island Storm for the rights to Nick Okorie.

This trade comes after the Storm were unsuccessful at re-signing Okorie on two occasions. Rather than lose Okorie and have nothing to show for it, the Island Storm traded for a great Canadian big in Renaldo Dixon, as well as one of the more athletic and dynamic scorers in the NBLC in Brent Jennings.

The Lightning take another step forward in their rebuild with the addition of the NBLC all-star. Okorie was second on the Storm in scoring with 16.7 points per game and regularly started for the Storm in the two years he played for the club.
