Halifax 127-93 Saint John

The Halifax Hurricanes notched a massive 127-93 statement win over Saint John at the Scotiabank Centre on Thursday.

Halifax, in a matchup of the Atlantic Divison's two best teams, controlled the game from the outset, shooting 58 percent from the floor.

The game wraps up a busy stretch for the Mill Rats, who played six games in nine days -- two of which took place in Ontario.

Justin Johnson led the Hurricanes (19-8) with 31 points. Forward Kyle Hunt scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Doug Herring Jr. led the Mill Rats with 17 points.

Halifax is set to host the Storm on Sunday. Saint John (18-12) will host Moncton next Saturday.

Windsor 109-102 Niagara

The Windsor Express won a tightly-contested battle against Niagara on Thursday, eventually taking down the River Lions 109-102 in front of a home crowd at the WFCU Centre.

Despite winning the first quarter by a score of 24-20, the River Lions were unable to catch up to a physical Express side that posted 52 points in the paint.

Tony Bennett put up 17 points, seven assists and eight rebounds in the win. Logan Stitz led Niagara with 22 points on 8-14 shooting, which included a 3-4 performance from three-point land.

The Express (17-13) will host London on Saturday. Niagara (12-19) is set to host the Island Storm on Thursday.
