Halifax 104-84 Island
The Halifax Hurricanes took down the sinking Island Storm 104-84 in a game of two halves at Scotiabank Centre on Sunday.
After going into halftime down 47-40, the Hurricanes exploded in the final 24 minutes, outscoring the Storm 33-20 in the third, and 31-17 in the fourth, on their way to an NBLC-high 20th win.
Justin Johnson led the Hurricanes and the game with 24 points and 10 rebounds. Tirrell Baines led the Storm and the game with 20 points on 8-12 shooting.
Halifax (20-8) is now 7-1 against the Storm (10-18) this season.
These two teams will meet Monday night in Charlottetown.
