The Cape Breton Highlanders unveiled their identity at a press conference Tuesday. Their logo, which can be seen below, features a blue basketball holding a red-and-white sword.

“The team name and logo are inspired by the beauty of the Cape Breton Highlands and the history and bravery of the Cape Breton Highlanders military regiment," Levingston said in a media release.Levingston also announced that an NBLC pre-season game between the Island Storm and Halifax Hurricanes will be played at Centre 200, the Highlanders’ future home, on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m.
